I am pleased to introduce myself to you all as your new Pastor here at Corpus Christi. I was ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ in the year 2000 by His Excellency, Bishop Saltarelli. As a seminarian and Deacon I was assigned to St. Thomas the Apostle with my favorite Pastor Fr. Gerres who taught me how to give short homilies! As an Associate Pastor I spent, four years at Holy Cross Church in Dover, two years at St. Mary Magdalene in Wilmington, four years at St. Anne's in Bethany Beach and finally two years at St. Mary of the Assumption in Hockessin. Four years ago, I was appointed administrator and Pastor of St. John the Apostle and St. Bernadette in Milford and Harrington respectively by His Excellency, Bishop Malooly.
I am excited about my new assignment as the Pastor of Corpus Christi and St. Matthews. I know that there are a great many questions about how I am going to Pastor two parishes at the same time - frankly, I don't have answers yet as I am depending on the grace of our Lord to assist me. I do have experience in running two churches at the same time and so I am hoping that the lessons I learned in Milford and Harrington will serve me well here. I urge you to read Bishop Malooly's letter "Together in the Spirit" to get an idea of how this will work.
I am excited for this new challenge that the Lord has presented me and I ask you to keep you in my prayers especially through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
